Expirience nature - Naz-Sciaves, a locality along the Isarco Valley, the valley of trails

Made up of five idyllic villages: Natz/Naz, Sciaves/Schabs, Raas/Rasa, Fiumes/Viums and Aica/Aicha, the Naz-Sciaves holiday area is an ideal destination for a wonderful and relaxing holiday.
The Naz-Sciaves High Apple Plateau lies in the heart of South Tyrol on a high plateau at an altitude of between 730 m and 890 m, surrounded by a stunning mountain landscape. Situated in the northernmost apple cultivation zone in South Tyrol, there is a predominance of apple orchards in the area. Due to the sunny local conditions, the Golden Delicious, Jonagold, Elstar and Gala apple varieties grow well here. Over 11,000 tonnes of apples are harvested annually on the Naz-Sciaves mountain plateau on 270 hectares of orchards. In addition, there are also vineyards with grape
varietals producing the famous Müller Thurgau and Sylvaner white wines.

This holiday area is renowned for the diversity of its landscape, alternating harmoniously between among apple orchards, vineyards, dense woodlands and well-maintained historical/cultural locations.

Discover the diversity of Naz-Sciaves in every season

In spring, when the apple trees come out in

bloom, the countryside changes into a vast, pastel-colored sea of flowers. An all-pervasive sweet, delicate fragrance is released into the air from the extensive apple orchards spread all across the mountain plateau. This is the time, towards the end of April, is when the Royal Festival takes place.

Summer in Naz-Sciaves means taking a break away from the crowds. There are relaxing hikes through the shady woods as well as more challenging climbs along well-marked trails. There are other sporting activities, such as Nordic Walking , helping to regenerate the body and mind.

The Naz-Sciaves High Apple Plateau is most colorful in autumn, when the leaves turn yellow and the ripe juicy apples are picked from the trees. The end of the apple-picking season is celebrated early in October with the Apple Festival .

In winter, when nature turns in for a well-deserved rest, you can relax in one of the hospitable family hotels located on the plateau, or take part in a range of winter sports in one of the ski areas.
